Wuhan University’s Economics and Management School (EMS) is one of China’s leading economics faculties, offering master’s and doctoral programs covering macroeconomics, applied economics, theoretical economics, and related fields. Students in these programs explore topics such as national income and growth, business cycles, inflation and unemployment, monetary and fiscal policy, economic development, and international economic issues — all foundational to understanding macroeconomic conditions and policy responses. Graduates are trained to analyze economic trends, forecast macroeconomic shifts, and assess the impact of public economic policies.
The EMS also hosts major academic events like the China International Conference on Macroeconomics — bringing global economists and policymakers together to discuss frontier research in macroeconomic theory and policy and real-world challenges facing China’s and the global economy.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
