We, at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, offer a brand of education and research that seeks to merge science and engineering by promoting an understanding of the laws of nature and mathematical structures and applying that knowledge to the ongoing development and happiness of humankind. To achieve this, we have a curriculum centered on basic subjects taught with subsequent application in mind, applied subjects based on fundamental theory, and boundary subjects designed to encourage broad application in a variety of fields.

  Our goal is to train students into expert researchers and professionals whose skills are not only confined to science and technology but who have the extensive range of abilities which are required to work in a cross-section of fields, including social and human sciences. We wish to develop graduates who not only relish the challenges of keeping up with the times and working in new fields but who also have deep reserves of humanity and compassion to complement their internationally viable scientific capabilities.
