The Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science at Shizuoka University consists of four broad fields: organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, and physical chemistry, and 15 faculty members each head a laboratory in their own area of expertise.
Chemistry is a field that studies the structure and properties of various substances, as well as their interactions with one another. The main focus of chemistry is none other than matter itself. In the Department of Chemistry, we research a wide variety of substances, from battery materials and organometallic catalysts to DNA and interstellar molecules.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
