The courses offered in the Master's program (Master's level) are broadly divided into two areas: "Language and Communication" and "International Culture." The "Language and Communication" area considers language and communication from multiple perspectives, focusing on English as its core, and also including Japan-US comparisons, Germany, France, Japanese language education, and translation and interpreting theory. The "International Culture" area deepens specialized knowledge of the world's diverse cultures through regional cultures such as English-speaking, German-speaking, French-speaking, and Japanese, as well as scientific thought and mass media and literary theory.

While studying subjects in both areas in a balanced way according to your own needs, you will also gain the research skills necessary to examine your own research topic and write your master's thesis through the "research guidance" of your supervisor.
