Accommodation

At present, Chongqing University has Three international student dormitories, including Songlinpo International Student Apartment, Ganyuancun International Student Hostel on Shapingba Campus, and Lanyuan No.6 International Student Dormitory on Huxi Campus. The dorms are all equipped with public kitchens and public self-service laundry room(s) (coin or credit card). There are double rooms and single rooms. The rooms are equipped with independent toilets, air conditioning, wireless network (paid use), as well as beds (including mattresses), desks, wardrobes and other necessary facilities.

In principle, Chongqing University provides free accommodation for full scholarship students, which is arranged by the school according to the situation of school dormitories and the actual situation of students. If scholarship students need to live off campus for personal reasons, they should apply by following relevant rules.

Self-funded international students can choose to apply for residence in international student dormitories on campus or rent off-campus on their own. If you rent outside the school, you need to apply too. As the number of rooms is limited, we will reserve rooms for them basing on first-come-first-served principle.

In 1956, Chongqing Medical University (CQMU) was established, which was initially known as Chongqing University of Medical Sciences. This university was originally a branch of the Shanghai First Medical College which is now named the Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University. The Ministry of Education of China the Ministry of Health of China and the Chongqing Municipal Government all together administer Chongqing Medical University which has turned into a noteworthy open therapeutic college.

This is a comprehensive medical university with a diverse offering of Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral, and Postdoctoral programs. It is one of the medical universities in China that has received permission from the Chinese Ministry of Education to enroll international students into the English-medium MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) program.
