university was founded in 1963 in accordance with the founder's will to create a 'university where students enjoy studying' and has a history of over 60 years.

In the early days of its establishment, under the banner of 'industrialization', the goal of education was to foster technical talents who would contribute to the national economic development plan, and the school produced key figures in the economic development of the Republic of Korea.

Currently, all faculty members are doing their best to achieve the educational goal of 'nurturing smart, new, and advanced talents' under the educational philosophy of sincerity, creativity, and enthusiasm while leading the change in the educational environment.

Dormitory halls include:

Ilcheong‑gwan Dormitory (male) – capacity: 512 persons (120 rooms, 4 students per room)
Woongbi‑gwan Dormitory (male) – capacity: 480 persons (120 rooms, 4 students per room)
Jisung‑gwan Dormitory (female) – capacity: 200 persons (50 rooms, 4 students per room)
Mokryun‑gwan Dormitory – mixed (male/female) – capacity: 316 persons (98 rooms male + 60 rooms female)

Each dorm includes common facilities: study rooms, computer rooms, laundry, shower, basketball/badminton courts, parking, LAN/internet connection.

Furnishings in the rooms: bed, bed sheet, desk, chair, bookshelf, closet, shoe rack.

Required documents: medical report (including chest X‑ray & hepatitis test), photos, consent form.

Selection criteria: priority to students living outside Daegu (except Dalseong‑gun), students from low income families etc up to 10% of capacity

This program provides students with career and employment programs and counseling guidance to help them succeed in school, college, and employment, while supporting companies to manage their talent information by utilizing recruitment management systems, on-site training, and talent pools.

Notes

The closest international airport to Kyungil University (located in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province) is Daegu International Airport (TAE). However, for most long-haul international flights, you will fly into Gimhae International Airport (PUS) in Busan or Incheon International Airport (ICN) near Seoul.

Specific travel instructions from the three main arrival hubs are detailed below:

1. From Daegu International Airport (TAE) — Closest Hub

Travel Time: 40 to 60 minutes
Route: From the airport, take a quick 10-minute taxi to the nearest Daegu Metro station (Dongdaegu Station). From there, take the local train or bus toward Hayang, where Kyungil University is located.

2. From Gimhae International Airport (PUS, Busan)

Travel Time: ~2 to 2.5 hours [1]
Route:
1. Take the airport limousine bus directly from Gimhae Airport to Dongdaegu Terminal.
2. From Dongdaegu Terminal, transfer to a local bus or take the regional train to Hayang Station.
3. From Hayang Station, catch a local bus (Routes 804 or 808) or a short 10-minute taxi ride to the university campus.

3. From Incheon International Airport (ICN, Seoul)

Travel Time: ~4 hours
Route:
1. Take the AREX Airport Railroad express train from Incheon International Airport directly to Seoul Station.
2. Transfer at Seoul Station to the KTX (Korea Train Express) high-speed rail bound for Dongdaegu Station (about a 1 hour 45 minute trip).
3. From Dongdaegu, transfer to the local railway line or local bus to reach the Hayang area.
