Dong-A University is located in Busan, South Korea, the country’s second most-populated city after the capital Seoul. It’s one of only two universities within Greater Busan that has both a medical school and a law school.

Established shortly after the end of the Second World War, the university currently has approximately 19,000 undergraduates and 2,450 postgraduates enrolled. Undergraduate teaching spreads across 12 different faculties, from physical education to social sciences, as well as the aforementioned medical and law schools. There are also eight specialized graduate schools.

The university is split across three campuses: Seunghak, Gudeok and Bumin. The Seunghak Campus is arguably the most scenic, located on the slopes of Mt. Seunghak and within sight of Ulsuk-do, an islet that is home to migratory birds near the mouth of the Nakdong River. Gudeok is a 20-minute journey from the other campuses and is located close to the forests of Daeshin Citizen’s Park. Bumin is located in central Busan.

Traveling to Seunghak Campus (Main Campus)

Located in Saha-gu, this campus is most easily reached via Hadan Station.

By Bus: Take the local Airport Bus No. 13 from Gate 3 directly to Hadan Subway Station (approx. 40 minutes, ₩1,300). From Exit 6 at Hadan Station, you can catch the Dong-a University inter-campus shuttle bus or the Saha-gu 10 shuttle bus up the hill to the dormitories.
By Transit & Light Rail: Take the Busan-Gimhae Light Rail from the airport to Sasang Station. Walk to the Busan Metro Line 2 (at Sasang Station) and take it to Seomyeon Station, then transfer to Line 1 heading south and alight at Hadan Station.
By Taxi: A direct taxi ride takes about 20–30 minutes depending on traffic and costs around ₩15,000 to ₩25,000.

Traveling to Bumin Campus (Law School, Medical, Social Sciences)

Located closer to the city center in Seo-gu, this campus is most accessible via Toseong Station.

By Subway: Take the Busan-Gimhae Light Rail to Sasang Station, transfer to Busan Metro Line 2 to Seomyeon Station, and transfer once more to Line 1 to arrive at Toseong Station. Exit at Exit 2 to walk directly to the campus (approx. 45–50 minutes total).
By Taxi: A taxi ride takes about 15–20 minutes and costs roughly ₩21,000 to ₩25,000.
