The Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) was officially established on October 30, 1992 and officially opened its doors for classes in March 1993. It is South Korea's only national conservatory and arts university, operating under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Accommodation

Dormitory living offers many benefits and opportunities that enhance K-Arts experience. Students are provided with a fully furnished living space including telephone and Internet service connections, and the dormitory features a social lounge, laundry room, health and fitness facilities, computer lab, reading room, convenience store, and 24-hour security. Students should submit a Dormitory Registration Form, a medical certificate, and a copy of passport to apply for the dormitory.

The period of stay in the dormitory is usually one year. However, students should have a minimum grade of 2.4 to remain in the dormitory. Students who are taking absence from the school cannot reside in the dormitory. Also, as with any community, in the dormitory, policies and regulations exist to ensure the common good of residents. Violations of any of these regulations will result in disciplinary actions, which include official reprimands and expulsion from the dormitory. More information on the dormitory application and payment schedule will be given to the foreign students by the Office of Admissions & International Affairs.

The Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) has three campuses: Seokgwan, Daehakro, and Seocho. The nearest international airport is Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN). Depending on your destination campus, total travel time takes between 1.5 to 2 hours via public transit or a private taxi.

1. Seokgwan-dong Campus

Address: 146-37 Hwarang-ro 32-gil, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul
Public Transit Route (Approx. 105 minutes): Take the AREX (Airport Railroad Express) from Incheon Airport to Hongik University Station, transfer to Line 2 subway towards Sindang Station, and switch to Line 6 to get off at Seokgye Station (Exit 5).

2. Seocho-dong Campus (Seoul Arts Center)

Address: 2374 Nambusunhwan-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul
Public Transit Route (Approx. 85 minutes): Take the AREX to Seoul Station, transfer to Line 4 and ride to Sadang Station, then transfer to Line 3 to arrive at Nambu Bus Terminal Station (Exit 5).

3. Daehakro Campus

Address: 215 Changgyeonggung-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul
Public Transit Route (Approx. 75 minutes): Take the AREX to Seoul Station, transfer to Line 4, and ride directly to Hyehwa Station (Exit 2).

Taxi / Private Transport

A taxi ride from Incheon International Airport to central Seoul takes about \(60\) to \(90\) minutes depending on traffic and costs roughly W 70,000 - W 90,000 depending on your exact drop-off location.
